Sustainability and Energy Transition Reports

  • The Land of Confusion – “All Stop” seems like the best immediate plan

After what has been an interesting 6 weeks, energy transition is effectively directionless globally, despite the protests to the contrary from the diehards.

Everyone is rethinking priorities and affordability, regardless of what they may be saying publicly, and this includes, countries, industry watch dogs and public/private companies.

While the Trump administration has us looking in multiple directions, climate change is in the cross hairs, with now strong US denial, and what the US does has implications for all.

Even Europe will have no choice but to change direction on climate initiatives as spending needs elsewhere (defense) will take priority. A wave of blue hydrogen for Europe perhaps.

Meanwhile, China will march ahead with renewable power, green hydrogen, low carbon fuels and materials. China’s costs will fall creating an even wider competitive advantage.
